I have to admit that I’m quite surprised that the movie is based on the book by Stephen King («Rita Hayworth and Salvation from Shawshank»). I do not share the rave reviews about this picture. Yes, the movie was well made, the actors played good, the idea and the plot are also noteworthy. But during the whole movie I had the feeling of some offscreen moralizing and predictability of the next scene.
