The plot is pretty simple — one friend has a shiv in one place, he can’t live in the zoo, and the other friends, in an attempt to get him back, become accomplices to the escape. Incredibly funny moments exactly at the train station and in the subway — just to the point of tears.
Further, the cartoon touches on serious themes — though not without humor.
The theme of friendship is carried through the whole picture, revealed in all its glory. It was funny to watch how such different friends get along with each other in the wild — that is, in an unusual situation for them all.
